Fashion Jewelry Suppliers in the USA

Most fashion jewelry suppliers in the USA work with glass, resin, or synthetic stones. That is how the price gets down to where it needs to be, so a store that wants a lower tier is usually accepting a lower stone along with it.

We do it through the metal instead. The stones in our fashion jewelry are natural, cut on the same benches as the stones going into our 925 silver and 14k gold, and the price comes down because the base underneath them is brass. Two collections cover the whole range, brass and beaded.

What Fashion Jewelry Means in Our Catalog

Fashion jewelry in our catalog is a metal decision and nothing else. The stone on a fashion jewelry ring is coming out of the same parcel as the stone that goes into a 925 silver ring or a 14k gold one. The metal underneath it changes, and the metal is where most of the price is.

So a black onyx in fashion jewelry is the same black onyx. It has not been swapped for glass or resin to bring the cost down, which is what usually happens at this price point in the wholesale market.

Two Collections Inside Fashion Jewelry

There are two collections in fashion jewelry, and that is the whole category. One of them is brass, and the other one is beaded. A design will be in one or the other, never in both.

The Brass Collection

The brass collection has a brass base with 0.25 micron gold plating over it, and one natural stone which is set on the top. Black sapphire, green onyx, red agate, and green amethyst are going into these. The designs run across earrings, rings, and one nugget necklace which is finished in gold plating.

Where a design needs accent stones around the center one, cubic zirconia might be used for those. The product page is naming it stone by stone with the count and the size, so the cubic zirconia is never being described as a gemstone. Retailers who want the whole brass jewelry range including the bracelets should look at that collection on its own, because a few of those designs are not appearing in this filter.

The Beaded Collection

Beaded fashion jewelry is the bigger of the two collections. In these, the smaller stones are strung along a wire or a hoop, and the nugget designs use the stone in its rough shape without cutting it to a fixed size.

White pearls with amazonite, green tiger eye, black spinel, rose quartz, malachite, and lapis are the stones going into the beaded pieces. Bracelets and necklaces are most of this collection, however, there are earrings also.

One thing about the nugget designs. Two pieces of the same design will not be matching each other exactly, because the stone shape is natural. Some retailers should be careful with the photography on these.

Where Fashion Jewelry Fits in Your Price Ladder

Most stores are running three or four price tiers, however, not all of them are labeled that way inside the shop. The costume counter is the lowest one, and the stones on it are glass or resin. Fashion jewelry is the next step up from that. Above it are 925 silver and then 14k gold.

The gap between the costume counter and the silver counter is where a lot of stores are losing a sale, because the customer who does not want glass is also not ready to spend silver money yet. Fashion jewelry should be filling that gap for you. Something which is proven here can be ordered again in 925 silver or in 14k gold later, and the design does not have to change for that.

Replace Instead of Repair, and What That Means for Your Order Size

Fashion jewelry is not repaired, it is replaced. There is no precious metal in it, so a jeweler cannot solder a brass piece the way a silver one is soldered. Nobody in the trade is trying to.

This is normal at the price, and it should not worry you, however, it does change how you buy. The plated finish will wear after enough wearing, and a customer at this price point is expecting that and is buying another piece. So the money is going into turnover, not into one piece which lasts twenty years.

That is also the reason our order minimums are kept low. You are not meant to be committing deep into a design which may go out of style in a season.

Ordering From Fashion Jewelry Wholesalers in the USA

The $1000 minimum is for fashion jewelry as a whole, so it does not have to stay inside one collection. A first order can be six brass designs and four beaded ones, or it can be all beaded, whatever suits the cabinet you are filling.

Sample orders are worth taking before that. The plating is the thing most buyers want to see for themselves, and photographs are not going to settle it. Ask for a sample of two or three pieces and check the finish in your hand.

We are RJC and ZED certified, which some of the larger buyers in the USA need for their own paperwork. Sizes are US, so a ring size or a bracelet length does not need conversion at your end.

Let's Start With One Collection

Do not take the whole category in one go. Pick one collection first, brass or beaded, and see which one your counter responds to.

Brass should be the easier start if your customers are buying gold-look pieces. If they are buying color and layering, beaded is the one to look at first. If you cannot tell which of the two, send us a note about what is selling in your store at the moment, and we will say which one is closer to it.

Ask for two or three pieces before anything else. Check them yourself, then we can talk about quantities
